An Expensive Art
No. 5, 1948 is painted by an American painter Jackson Pollock. He is well known for his work No. 5 which has been the most expensive art ever sold privately or auctioned. He is known also for his contributions in the abstract art movement as well. The painting No. 5 is painted in an 8” x 4’ canvas with thick amount of yellow and brown drizzled on top of it giving it an impression like a nest. It was sold to David Martinez at a recorded price of $140 million beating the last recorded highest sale at $5 million of Gustav Klimt's 1907 Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer.
