POP ART PAINTINGS

Pop art is an artistic movement that developed in the mid 1950s within the cities of New York and London. The artistic movement of pop art was inspired by the western capitalist society and hence the pop art paintings portrayed the progress and consumption during those times. Pop art is a combination of two art forms that were merged around the mid 50s and mid 60s by some of the artists to show the society’s ideals in an ironic manner. Now-a-days pop art paintings portray mainly music and movie icons in some bright colors. These pictures of the movie or music stars can be obtained from some movie scenes or photographs.
